Using excerpts from Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor's inspiring TED Talk and best-selling book My Stroke Of Insight, the identical twin composers The Brothers Balliett created a new choral and orchestra piece, commissioned by The Cecilia Chorus of New York. On May 3rd, Mark Shapiro conducted its world premiere at Carnegie Hall.

I got Mark Shapiro, The Brothers Balliett, and Dr. Taylor together to discuss the genesis of this new piece, Fifty Trillion Molecular Geniuses.
